Loved it! Dec 29, 2008

Great book.. I read it twice. One of those books that starts out fast and keeps you going right till the last page. This is a book that you will buy for yourself and then start buying copies for your friends. I also like authors such as Francene Rivers, Ted Dekker and John Grisham.

Delightfully Engaging! Dec 23, 2008
By Sherry Claussen I love this book. When a book is good, I become engaged until I finish. This is that type of book for me. It is a book about redemption and circumstances and the choices we make along the way. The story drew me in from the beginning. It was suspenseful and the characters were written in a way that I actually wanted to know what was happening to them. This is a book I am buying for several of my friends. I hope this is not Nadine's last book. She is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

Page-Turner for sure! May 15, 2011
By BlondiegirlNY I wish I could write a review as well as Nadine wrote this book. From the moment I started reading, I could only put it down to sleep, and even then it was still hard to do. The author keeps you engaged from page to page, and as the story unfolds, you become more and more invested with the characters; both the ones you love and the ones you hate. Anything but predictable, even when you think you know what's coming next, you are thrown for another emotional loop. Anyone who enjoys a great story will love this book, and it would make a great choice for any book club. I can't wait for the next book Nadine writes.

A Must Read Mar 05, 2009
By D. Soto This book provided a great getaway. I was hooked and didn't want to put it down from the first chapter on. Being from New York I could imagine clearly the settings. The danger of the story paralleled by the greatness of God was awesome. I especially appreciated the epilogue because I would have wanted the story to continue if the end was all that was there. Can't wait to read more from this author.

Sleepless Because of Circumstance Feb 10, 2009
By Dawn W I began reading this book one slow afternoon and it only took a few pages to become completely engrossed in the characters and story of this book. I couldn't put it down and read straight through the night!
The characters are realistic and their interactions are believable. The plot is well developed and contains twists and turns never expected. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, a new element is introduced. Nadine does an outstanding job in laying out a story that is true to life and complete with gritty characters all the while producing a book that is tasteful and honoring to her faith.
I hope this is only the first of many books from Nadine!
