Quick and Dirty Fighting: Improvising Weapons and Hardcore Fighting Techniques

Quick and Dirty Fighting contains clear, concise instructions on how to improvise weapons and how to use them. Most of these weapons can be improvised within seconds. In certain situations you will not have a long time to make a weapon to defend yourself, more often, you will just have to rely on what you can pick up and use immediately. This book will show you how and where to strike to use your weapon effectively. Some of the descriptions are very graphic, this is because these methods are real. All these methods have been used in real life situations and the results are not sugar coated.

4appropriate title  Dec 24, 2008

the title says it all - some very effective self-defense techniques are shown and they don't require years of training.

4Good straightforward advice.  Aug 12, 2011

First off, I'd like to point out that I don't think the negative reviews here at this time are fair. One guy obviously was confused as to where to voice his complaint. Another reviewer is apparently well versed in self defense, which would seem to beg the question as to why they would be reading a book on basic self defense in the first place. This book is unique in that it combines classic, battle proven techniques and street fighting. In this small book you will learn to view and use common everyday objects as weapons. If you aren't used to looking at your environment in this manner, this will open your eyes to a plethora of possibilities. The author encourages the use of your imagination and even provides an example of how to make and use your own weapons. If you want to know how to protect yourself and always be armed no matter where you are, you can't go wrong here. Be forewarned, though. The use of weapons in self defense is serious business and the author makes this abundantly clear. Be justified.

5ENTERTAINING AND USEFUL!!!!  Jul 01, 2009

This is a small book, but is packed with some good information! The author definately could have dragged out the techniques with filler but chose to get right to the point as quick as possible. I like that, a lot of fighting books are filled with too much space filler. The techniques are practical in real world situations. But they are also very brutal, if you do any of these things to someone your not just going to give them a beat down, they will end up in the hospital or worse. Like the title says: QUICK AND DIRTY!

5EXCELLENT BOOK!!!  Oct 31, 2008
By Reader
This book is a really good book for its price and length. All the information gets right to the point and the author has a very bizarre sense of humor. If you read this book I hope you never have to use the information and techniques it provides! Very serious stuff!

It's unfortunate that the idiot, Ranger Pussbag, left a bad review for the book, when he even admits he hasn't read it!

1Save your money.  Jan 14, 2009

If you don't know anything about how to fight dirty or figure out that anything can be a weapon, then you might want to get this. If you can figure out anything from a knife, pencil or shot glass can be a weapon, then you might want to hold out on this. There is not too much substance in it, its 49 pages and not all of this are filled to capacity with information. It does however have maybe about 10 good points to ponder in it. Its actually smaller and thinner then a Blackbelt magazine minus the advertisements if that helps any.
