Radiology Life Support (RAD-LS): A Practical Approach

This volume is designed to focus on the unique, life-threatening emergencies that occur within a radiology department. Adverse reactions to contrast agents are somewhat difficult for physicians without practice to identify and then handle effectively and this book provides the necessary information to allow for proper recognition and treatment of adverse contrast reactions, proper use of sedation and analgesic agents, proper management of an airway in an emergency situation and basic concepts in basic and advanced life support. It has been fashioned after the several teaching volumes available on ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) that have successfully taught physicians and nurses proper patient management during cardiac arrest.
