By Dorothy G. Russo Wish I had taught my kids these skills along with their 3R's. My grandchildren will benefit from Ms. Hodgen's books and exercises. The book is well worth the investment.
Highly recommended for all parents with young children Apr 21, 2011
By C. Kownatzki So much is required from the youngsters in terms of academic achievement these days and yet, most kids enter the working world without learning the basics of personal finance. The task to raise financially literate kids falls on parents and they are often unable and/or unwilling to do so. This book is an excellent resource for parents who wish to raise money-wise kids.
Karyn does a wonderful job of bringing a sense of order into the often confusing world of finance. The book is full of fun exercises for both parents and kids. I particularly like the "Chew on this" sections. What a great idea to make the reader stop and really think about what they just read.
I highly recommend this book for all parents with young children. The sooner you can get your kids to work with this book, the higher the odds that they will turn out to be financially independent and ready to enter real world. As an added bonus, some parents may actually learn a thing or two about personal finance as well...
