Real-Life Stories Of How People Feel And Behave In Organizations

This book is written for the purpose of explicating how 58 real business-life stories link with the organizational behavior issues. The fundamental assumption is that organizational behavior model can be explained through the real business-life stories. In order to prepare this book, face to face interviews with 58 different people, who have different occupations ranging from writer to butcher, and belly dancer to top manager, were made.After interviews were completed, researchers evaluated each success/failure story and they recognized that stories had strong links with many different topics in the organizational behavior model. Among them, 8 different topics, which may affect organizations’ successes or failures, were examined theoretically. Theoretical explanations were supported with the quotations from those real business-life stories. The topics involve work ethic, job involvement, organizational justice, stress, work and family roles, emotional labor, bullying and success.
