Powerful Feb 16, 2007
By K. Williamson I give this book a 9.5 on the Richter scale. Not only did it dare me to step outside the soul-numbing safety of my comfort zone, but to leave it behind for good. With extraordinary depth and raw candor, Ennio Salucci guides the reader to identify and reprogram the habitual thinking patterns that keep us stuck. Here is a rare invitation to break free and seize each day as a carefully crafted gift of God, overflowing with opportunities to reach out to others in truth and love. Let this book challenge you to transform an ordinary life of just going thru the motions to the life of passion and beauty we were intended to live.
If you are satisfied with the status quo and have no interest in challenging your perceptions, this is not the book for you. On the other hand, this is just the book for you.

true opportunity for transformation Jan 15, 2007
By Hendre D. Coetzee I have read Ennio Salucci's work both in this publication and other articles. He has a way to articulate profound truth's as invitations to not only consider change but there is a compelling opportunity to explore our current thinking and beliefs in a confronting yet unthreatning environment. I reccommend his writings to anyone who willing to take on the adventure of confronting ways of thinking that are not producing the results that you intend.

Getting Clarity Feb 27, 2009
By Paul H. Schulte This is thoughtful and well-written book, not for the faint of heart or for those who want a "quick fix" from the self-help genre. The author examines and confronts a number of the typical reasons behind the common modern lament of dissatisfaction in relationships.
As the cover graphic suggests, overcoming the barriers to deeper satisfaction and love in relationships requires a metamorphosis of thought and behavior, a willingness to examine of the reality of one's own life and the impact the individual is having on others. Faith as an underpinning for this effort is vital, and the example of Christ's sacrificial love for us as individuals is woven throughout this work.
I heartily recommend this book. It is a deep, authentic and refreshing look at common barriers to relational intimacy. It provides a realistic assessment of the effort and commitment needed to effect personal change as well as the consequences of giving up or engaging in the change process in a half-hearted way.

THIS IS WHAT LOVE LOOKS LIKE Dec 15, 2008
By D. Warren Something is very wrong with the way we have been programmed by our culture to "love" people, AND, it doesn't work to produce the kind of relationships we long for. In Reality For A Change, Ennio Salucci brilliantly contrasts fear-driven choices, designed to self-protect through various strategies, such as, cordial hypocrisy, isolation, performing, being a victim, and many others with faith-driven choices, designed to truly love others such as, honesty, connecting, being authentic, taking responsibility for our current reality, and many others. Jesus modeled this way of risk-loving for the purpose of having authentic relationships with others. In my opinion, every single problem our world faces today, from crime, to divorce, to abuse, to wars is solved by this way of engaging life. If we can learn the Biblical principles so creatively expressed in Reality For A Change, we will change our thinking about loving others, change our focus from self-protecting, change our choices to risking everything so we can finally have what we long for in relationships with others. In the end, we can leave a legacy of Christ-love and have the possibility to change the world one relationship at a time.
