What a great story! This book is entertaining, insightful, beautifully written,
and terribly interesting. I was captivated by Rita May, Sarra, and Midori, and
found the characters to be well developed. Stella Bell has a hit on her hands!

This is an excellent book. It is one that you cannot put down. I read it in one day. It contained many memories of World War II era. I would recommend it to anyone.

5A good read!  Oct 25, 2009
By Gaynor Trammer
So pleased to see this in print! Such a life. I worked with Stella when she was choreograper and director in the Pismo Light Opera Theatre where I was founder/musical director in the '80's. It was interesting to learn more about the Japanese culture and treatment of women. Its a good read and I look forward to reading her next books.
