Excellent Short Read Dec 08, 2010
By Michael A Kershner Redemption is an excellent fast paced Western thriller. Even at Redemption's rather modest length, Mr. Meador finds room with in its pages to develop a strong reader, character relationship. As the book opens the reader is introduced to a character seeking solace, wishing to wash his hands of his sinful past; a past the reader, and apparently all the other characters, know little about; but all that changes as the story unfolds. What I crave as a reader is knowing a character, and it does not take long for the reader to understand how torn the main character is; ever so wanting to move forward with his life but his past not letting go of him. The pieces of character history are placed at just the right moment, and a reader is never left wondering why something was said or done. I read this book front to back in one setting, I literally could not put it down. The ending was fantastic just the right twist, just the right amount of lead in for the sequel.
This book is a must read for people who love to read books by an author who truly cares about his characters, feels their pain and joy loves them like his family. The story is timeless. Everything a Western should be. Can't wait for the sequel.

A vivid, old-time western........ Dec 14, 2010
By kindle addict I really liked this book. I'm an older woman and it reminded me of the old westerns I used to watch on TV with my father when I was a child. There were plenty of gunfights and killings, but there was also some love, tenderness, sadness, and grief. The author writes well, and the book was very well-formatted for the Kindle. The main character, J.T., was as well-developed as he could be in a short novel. There were some twists and turns that added to the story, and an ending that made me want more. I am looking forward to following this series and to whatever else this author may write.

Loved it Dec 13, 2010
By Keith Brown If you want an action packed story with thoroughly defined characters then look no further. I've read the book a couple of times and can't wait for #2. Mr. Meador paints a vivid picture in Redemption and I hope the sequel is longer as I can't get enough of this story.

A well-told story and action-packed! Sep 03, 2010
By Cynthia Dannehl This is a creative western story and action-packed from start to finish. I never got bored and felt like I was there!
This is a must read Sep 12, 2005
By western lover If you like westerns, this book is a must have. It is one of the most action packed books I have read in a long time. I have read countless Louis Lamour books and I would rate this one right up there with some of Lamour's best works. If is about time someone tried to fill the need for short action packed westerns. You really care about the people in the story and I can not wait to find out what happens in the second book. This book is a trill ride from the opening page to the end.
