Reflections of a Country Boy

The author served twenty two years in the United States Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam. He retired with the rank of Master Sergeant December 31, 1979. Ten days later he entered Northeast Louisiana University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in education in December 1981. He received his Master of Education degree from NLU in 1986. He spent twenty two years in education. Seven years as a math, computer science and aerospace science teacher at Riverfield Academy and seven years as principal of Riverfield. He spent the last eight years of his career as principal of Caldwell Parish High School, retiring July 1, 2006. In December 1959 he married his high school sweetheart, the former Gwen Girod, and they have two sons, Charles Jr. and Russell. They reside on their daylily farm in Columbia, La.
