5Fun read from a very witty paddler  Jan 12, 2012
By Mr O
I'd like to have the complete set of books that John has written over the last decade. Each chapter contains a tongue in cheek collection of thoughts and adventures on the SF bay each thursday evening for a whole year. You will not be disappointed!

5A good short read  Aug 17, 2011

I have been reading these stories on line for years. These books are always good when you need to reach for a short episode of local color on the bay. Being a local Bay Area kayaker it's always interesting to read about the Authors perspective on familiar paddling places.

5A Reflections Fan  Aug 16, 2011
By martonsville
I've been receiving online the paddle reports that make up volume 5 and the other 6 volumes of this series for 11 years. I don't kayak, but I'm a fan of the Thursday night paddle reports. Each report is short, witty, and easy reading. No two are alike. Sometimes they're full of San Francisco Bay lore, other times they're quite fanciful, like the author's heated discussions with his Greenland paddle when he kayaks alone. Each report has been an entertaining surprise.

1self publish?  Apr 12, 2011
By A. Jones
This must be some self publish deal as I cannot, for the life of me, figure out why else the writing was so poorly crafted.
