Reincarnation of Lucrezia Borgia Sep 14, 2009

There are some really well-written and researched historical segments in this book whose title somewhat jumps the gun of the storyline. The limited templates available on Booksurge and not quite enough proofing stages seem to have hampered the presentation of what could be an intriguing tale of then and now. There are certainly many links and facts I had not read before and some of the descriptions of Italy could only have been written by someone who had stood in those very places. As a read it gets better towards the end when the historical facts surface and the characters come to life more. But it is a pity that so many plot points are laid out almost as bullet points and revealed too early in the story. The author has clearly done considerable research and quite often it is far easier to learn about history in this format than through a dry text book. But next writing project should be thoroughly edited and proofed and Booksurge's clumsy formatting (with crazy word-breaks and strange layout) must be improved as it puts this edition at a considerable disadvantage.
A nice start for this writer and hopefully the next book will be released soon, addressing the points I have raised.
If you are a student or fan of Italian history or travel, you will find this a relaxing beach read.

Reincarnation of Lucrezia Borgia by Lisa Love
A mystery set in the fifteenth century pulls a twenty-first century woman back into the intrigues of the Borgia family when the Borgia pope and his sons were all-powerful. Anya is pulled into the past and finds herself a witness to Lucrezia Borgia and her infamous brother Cesear, then is thrust back to the present but is haunted by the memories and a feeling of lost love. A hint of danger coupled with a longing for love, drags both the reader and the heroine back into the past.
The descriptions of present day Italy and those of the fifteenth century make one feel as if they are there, experiencing the adventure.
The characters are well developed and the reader begins to fear for the heroine as she searches for answers. The unknown of the past as well as the developing present day romance is well written. The reader feels involved and enjoys the adventure.

thoughly enjoyed reading this book. it was simple, clean, easy to read. the decriptions of different locations were as if i was standing there. as if i was looking at the building or room being described. will look forward to reading any future books by this author. the book kept my interest, wanting to continue reading to see how it ended. the conflict between her feelings and her self, the conflict of feelings of guilt, what would any of us do in such a situation. thanks for a great book l. love.

By Janice Chatterton A thoroughly enjoyable read. My only complaint is that I finished it too soon. It is one of those books that is hard to put down so read it in one day!
Fun, fast moving, feels like you are in Italy both now and then Sep 18, 2009
By Eva Demetro I thoroughly enjoyed the Reincarnation of Lucrezia Borgia. The book was interesting, different, and fun, and I was feeling I was there both in the present and past. Of course Italy feels like a "homeland" for most people of Western heritage, and the descriptions and details were great. Thanks for a great book!
