touching Dec 29, 2008
By J. Patz In the sprit of full-disclosure, I am not related to the author - we do share a name, however.
This is a charming tale with a heartwarming glow. It embodies an easy sense like that of Saint-Exupery. "Remember When" creates a wonderful sense of hope and maybe a tear or two.
As beautiful a story as Patz is herself! Oct 24, 2008
By Jana E. Longfellow
"a Maine girl living in the South who loves books"
Patz Fowle is one of those women that glows with an inner beauty. Her kindness and reverence for nature and the love of family comes through each illustration and page of this delightful little book. The tale is poignant and would be a wonderful addition to every child's bookshelf, particularly good for those seasons in life when one has to say goodbye to a loved one. It's hard to find books like this anymore, and we are so fortunate to have such a gifted artist that is so willing to share her light with others in such a variety of mediums...whether it is her sculptures, paintings or stories, Patz shares her gifts with the world and makes the world a more beautiful place.
Companion to The Giving Tree Oct 12, 2008
By Arthur Williams "Remember When" is a wonderful book that offers comfort to those who enjoy and then loose a loved one. It reminds the reader of important things in life just as Shel Silverstein did with his "The Giving Tree". It is the companion book with every bit of energy, message, and economy of illustration. It helps me as "I remember when..." It is a classic. Arthur Williams

"artist"
Patz Fowle is a longtime friend! She puts her heart into everything. I always knew that if there would be a book--it would have deep meaning--Hopefully---Oprah will pick up on this one!!! T. Elkins
The Only Thing Better Aug 25, 2008
By D. Ervin The only thing better than reading this book is meeting the author herself. Her book makes the ordinary - extraordinary. It will make your day sing.
