Remembering Paris: Dreams Lost and Found

As author Timothy Hagy explores life as an expatriate English teacher and fashion editor, he soon discovers that obstacles lie hidden beneath the mists of the city of dreams. A thread of melancholy is woven throughout the series of vignettes that make up this coming of age novella. Set against a champagne-infused world of excess, Paris sparkles even as shadows grow. In the spirit of Truman Capote's Côte Basque, the rich and famous get toasted in their own words.

5A wonderfully entertaining read!  Oct 29, 2009
By T. Niel
At times hilariously funny and at others heart-wrenchingly sad, author Timothy Hagy draws the reader in on his life in Paris at the dawn of the new millennium. From his witty observations about life as an ex-patriot American, to his close encounters with the rich and famous, to his wide-eyed discoveries of all the richness that Paris has to offer, Hagy had me laughing and crying at times in the same sentence. A good read for anyone who loves the City of Light.
