Return To Memory: Two WWII Heroes Fighting a World Apart

The number of veterans that participated in World War II is dwindling fast. Soon there will be no more first-hand accounts of those horrible years of disease, death and destruction. Many surviving veterans have given their accounts, but many more have not been able to "return to memory". That process has been too difficult. This book chronicles the terrifying years of two long time friends of the author, who did not know each other but fought different enemies a world apart during the same time period. One was a GI in Europe and the other a Marine in the Pacific. Though painful, they both chose to reconnect with their horrible experiences in the hope that such a disaster will never happen again. Their common valor is undeniable as they encountered that thin line between life and death, a line that many of their comrades crossed.
