Right On Cue

Hope springs eternal in this debut literary fiction that is filled with both billiards and vice. Right on Cue by new author Tom McGonagle is a good old-fashioned heartwarming love story filled with integrity, a keen wit and gets to the heart of what makes a family tick. A novel that proves stunning in its prose and witty in its manner, the drama begins in the arms of young and foolhardy passion during the tail end of the Vietnam War. Later, when a woman makes a paternal connection to a pool shark on the professional circuit, her son will seek out his father and attempt to forge a relationship from a connection that was initially built on a hustle. After a tumultuous beginning, the father and son begin to bond over a shared love and natural talent for the game of billiards. With strong roles for both male and female players, the plot keeps its eye on the ball at all times and goes to show that truth and goodness will prevail when there is a will within. Yes, it is true—right on cue—love will conquer all.

5Right on Cue  Jan 17, 2010

Right on Cue is a great love story that takes place in the world of a up and comming pool player. I have read most of the books about pool and this is one of the best. I think this could be made into a major feature film someday. I would recommend this book to everyone not just pool players.

5Loved It!  Dec 31, 2008
By D. Wiggins
My son bought this book and I just happen to pick it up and start reading it. He told me it was about the game of pool. I didn't really think it was going to be that interesting but to my surprise I absolutely loved it. I couldn't put it down. It turned out to be a wonderful love story revolved around the game of pool. I would recommend this book to everyone! Tom McGonagle did a wonderful job. Hope to be seeing another one soon!

5Great story about pool and a lesson on not giving up  Jan 20, 2012
By Nicholas
This was a great story right from the beginning. I literally read the entire book in the 2 days I had off from work. This does not mean its a short story but instead that it sucks you in and you have no choice but to continue reading. This book was very well written, with a wonderful story the fans of billiards will love and a story about love that anybody can enjoy. As soon as I finished the book I passed it to my girlfriend and she is hooked already. I highly recommend this book whether your a pool player or not. You will not regret it!

5Excellent Read!!!  Dec 18, 2010

This book to me was basicly a Pool Lesson and a Life Lesson all in one. Whether you are a pool player and have spent most of your life in a pool hall, then you'll love this book!! If not, you'll still love this book. It really does show you the inside of what a true pool player is thinking and why. This is a fiction novel, but only to a certain degree. I love the story and I think that most people if not, all will enjoy it as well!!! Excellent Read!!!!!!
