Ringclimber

The Rings of Saturn - fifty thousand miles across . . . a chaotic environment of grinding rock, ice and dust, riddled with radiation and electrical charges. It is a terrifying challenge to cross this dangerous environment in a spacesuit. Until Rael died on her first expedition to the Rings, it was a challenge Sharon wanted to overcome more than anything. Now it is an object of grief that thrusts her into the direct conflict between her emotions and philosophy, between fear of loss and love of life. Her drive to heal focuses her on questions of death, friendship, recovery, hope, success and what it means to freely take on the risk of living. Now, five friends unite in the adventure of their lives, played out across the most majestic features of the planets. Written in a direct and cinematic present-tense style, Ringclimber is as much about its characters and their growth as it is about its incredible settings. It offers a truly Romantic view of a future we could all want to live in.

5I want to climb in the rings of Saturn  Aug 14, 2008
By Ara Spellman
You will feel like you're hanging off a cliff on Mars with the sand hitting your helmet or flying through the rings of Saturn surrounded by chaos and beauty. Ringclimber is a story about overcoming your fears. I loved it because it offered me heroes and inspiration. I've found myself a little in each character learning about them from their decisions and interactions with each other. It's full of danger, romance and adventure with fantastic and unique imagery.
