Ron Paul: Speaking of Freedom

The Internet has reintroduced to American Politics a deep feeling of self reliance and a desire for rational, efficient, and limited government. Ron Paul is the first champion of this new American Political ethos. Born in 1935; a former military surgeon who in private practice delivered over 1000 babies; Ron Paul seems like an unlikely candidate to inspire the Internet masses. Yet inspire them he has, with fundraising numbers likely to hit $30 million dollars by the spring of 2008. He has received more contributions than any other Republican from active duty service personnel and their families. Ron Paul is fighting to restore the freedoms that made America the great nation that it is. The Internet has awakened a new generation to the possibilities inherent in true self determination, and Ron Paul's message and authenticity has inspired even the most cynical among them. This book draws heavily from Ron Paul's speeches before the House of Representatives to offer the reader a perspective on his positions and aspirations for this country. Ron Paul will continue to speak and fight for the cause of freedom in this nation.

5An excellent overview of Ron Paul's recent rise and policies  Jan 04, 2008
After having read the book, it provides two beneficial things to those wondering who Ron Paul is and how he has come seemingly from nowhere to become a political heavyweight. First is an editorial on the power of the internet age and how individualism has driven the support for Dr. Paul. Second are collections of his speeches that illustrate his points of view on different topics-- critical and rare for a political book! It provides the primary source to let you decide, as well as an editorial. For supporters of Ron Paul, and especially for those wondering just who this guy is, I highly recommend this topical book. Don't just buy a book by the candidate-- get one about him by a third party.
