Essential lessons of life and love for today's world Jan 23, 2009
By Maureen L. Lewis
"The Blue Heron"
From the cover to the last page the book captures the loving and personal spirit of mother and child relationships in both words and pictures. It is a true story of a real horse and her colt with the author's interpretations of their life together on the farm. The cover must be closely studied for the surprise visual meaning of the message. The story of this mare and her colt is symbolic of our family connections with both it's practical lessons regarding our everyday living and the timeless and precious story of enduring love and keystone values that this world must not let go. It is an endearing story, one told with intelligence and purpose, that will entertain and delight.

A beautifully told story about a mother's love. I believe that any little girl that receives this book, will treasure it as one of her favorite stories, years from now when she reads it to her children.

Rose's Foal Jan 23, 2009
By Michael J. Blasko An excellent story about a mothers love. Any young horse person will cherish this book. A wonderful way to introduce your youngster to the world of horses while telling them through this book how much you love them! I will read it over and over again to my grandson. The actual photos in the book enhance the books message. Let's hope we see more from Scarlett Lewis and Wildrose Farm.
