Delicious! Nov 24, 2009
By Terri L. Bartlett
"Santa's Helper"
I opened this book early one overcast day and couldn't put it down. I literally read it in one day ... and loved every word of it. It was a tale of intrigue, rich layered characters that were fun, intelligent and incredibly sensual. Just like I said ... delicious on so many levels. If you're looking for a wonderful novel to curl up and get lost in, this is the one for you. With the holiday season ahead, several on my holiday list will be receiving this wonderful book stuffed in their "stocking". Rules Of Engagement
Couldn't Put It Down May 30, 2010
By Bradley Fred Dye This is the best book that I have read in a long time. Mike Bennis has created characters that remain in memory long after finishing the book -- just like real people that I wish I had met and gotten to know. The story takes unexpected twists and turns and kept me so involved that I stayed up all night just to find out what was going to happen next. Mike paints pictures with words. The people, places, and things are described in glorious color and great detail. The ending, while not predictable, was certainly enjoyable.
I write too, but just boring technical stuff. If I could write great fiction I would aspire to create a fascinating story like "Rules Of Engagement."

NABE Pinnacle Book Achievement Award Winner Spring 2010 Apr 30, 2010
By C. Michael Bennis RULES OF ENGAGEMENT has been chosen one of the NABE Pinnacle Book Achievement
Award Winners IN THE Category of Novel for Spring 2010,
All bets are off when what began as a timeless, torrid tale of young lust between a French debutante and small town boy turns into a mid-life romp when two lovers are reunited twenty-two years later.
Rule number one: We never fall in love. Rule number two: We never provide information that might reveal our identities. Rule number three: Our relationship can and will be ended by departure forever. Beyond the Three Rues of Engagement, there are no further rules or restrictions.
Years later Alec, who's turned into a bestselling novelist and a dynamo in the ad world, happens upon his darling Nicole. Face to face with true love, his is a love he has never forgotten, what is uncertain is where she stands and whether she will impose the Rules of Engagement or let passion lead the way.
