If you want to know what is (or is not) going on in Congress- read this!! Nov 25, 2008
By EGK
"EGK"
This is a wonderfully written novel. I personally loved the format; the book is laid out as a compilation of news stories following the 2008 presidential campaign of Noa Kalakaua. He is an unlikely candidate & focuses his bid (& platform) on Congressional reform. I know it sounds like this is just another boring political book- but it is innovative, funny & honest. The author used real statistics to fill in his otherwise fictionalized book. The numbers are astounding & should inspire us all to vote for change. Read it- you won't be disappointed.

Creatively entertaining Dec 15, 2011
By Nicholas W. Sayers Written before the 2008 election, Run is quite prophetic in how dysfunctional things have become and offers a futuristic look at a changeling, independent candidate. Run is refreshing and entertaining and makes you wish that Noa had won in 2008.

Tired of do nothing leadership? Read Run. Dec 31, 2011
By Galen Mason If you're tired of do nothing political leadership and disillusioned with even some of our most charismatic and energetic leaders' inability to improve life in this country, then read Run. It's fantastic that the book includes websites and information on where to learn more - see the end of the book. Hopefully, word of this book will spread and Run will end up looking more like nonfiction. Excellent work Mr. Kearney!

Work of Fiction? Dec 15, 2011
By Tom Doar In Run, fictional candidate Noa Kalakaua and his campaign for the White House expose the real shortcomings of our political system and the politicians the system produces. Kearney's telling of the story through a series of newspaper, magazine and blog articles effectively moves along the novel's plot and questions our country's political system, candidates and electorate. I highly recommend it.
Entertaining with an important message Feb 10, 2012
By Graeme Plant G.R. Kearney uses a clever format to tell a clever, entertaining story with a very serious message about our political system. This is not a book for wonks, although they will enjoy it too. Anyone will be captivated by the story and learn about the miss alignment of incentives for politicians and what they are doing to our government. A great quick read.
