Safari Njema Feb 15, 2010
By Kenneth W. Rhoden My husband & I were greatly impressed with the writing skills of this young lady, Katelyn Johnson. We were amazed at her writing skills for one so young. Her experiences as a child in the mission fields of Africa were vividly descriptive, and often so humerous. Neither of us have ever heard of anyone describing the invisable spiritual battles going on around us as Ketelyn does in two chapters of her book. Miss Johnson's book includes some life threatening facts that exist in the wilds of Africa and of the African culture. We appreciate Miss Johnson sharing some of her experinces & feelings of life in a boarding school. My husband thoroughly enjoyed my reading the book out loud to him as a bedtime event. We could hardly wait till the next night to dive into the next few chapters. When the book ended, we wanted to read more of Katelyn Johnson's exteriences. Miss Katelyn Johnson has definitly been gifted with wonderful writing talent. We hope she will bless our world with many more books, whether fiction or non-fiction, as she continues to develope that talent. We also enjoyed meeting her, brother Timothy, and parents Dan & Pam Johnson, while on furlough in Middleburg Florida ,when Katelyn was about 9 or 10 years young. It is always such a joy to meet folks who dedicate their lives to serving Our Lord and Savior Jesus The Christ in distant lands, amongst other people groups , with different cultures, customs and languages. It was such a pleasure to read Miss Johnson's book, Safari Njema. Ken & Sylvia Rhoden of Middleburg Florida February 14 2010

A good read for teens and adults Jun 29, 2008
By Virginia Ann Boone For anyone interested in what it's like for missionary families in 3rd world countries, especially for those with families feeling they are called into the mission field, Safari Njema is good read. In this book each chapter is a different account of their experiences. The book was written by a teenager, and is her first book. So, as you are reading, you are reading about her, her family and friends experiences written from her perspective. She writes with a nice readable style that engages the mind a bit. Katelyn's book has some hair raising, goosebump stories and will make you reflect, chuckle, and cry...but what makes this so interesting is that these stories really happened. It looks like this young authoress has a bright future ahead of her and I hope to see her make it in the publishing industry.
