Saint Paul: Architect of the Worlds Greatest Fraud

Paul’s perception of religion as a means of making money and gaining power was not unique, as many prophets, seers and holy men came before him and many have emerged since. What was quite remarkable was Paul’s initiative to take a rather ordinary preacher from the Jordan River and change him into a miracle creating Son of God. The provinces of Judea and Galilee ─ filled with Jews but occupied by Roman soldiers ─ provided Paul with the opportunity to change Jesus Christ into an astounding Son of God. The occupying Roman soldiers worshipped Mithra the Son of God who slew the fierce bull, and so in Paul’s first gospel he would claim that Jesus Christ had the same amazing powers as Mithra. That Jesus had been missing for years mattered not, as Paul declared he would return soon to save only those who joined the new Catholic Church. Marketing of Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior, and a man who could walk on water and raise the dead, was gradually extended to countries bordering the Mediterranean.
