What a great practical guide! Feb 03, 2006 This book is a real gem -- it's short, fast-paced (every page has a new title), well written in a interesting way with lots of real-world examples, and it gives great sales advice. I couldn't put it down because I always wanted to see how the sales story came out. Then I wanted to see what the next topic was about. The best part is that it sounds so right, it has a certain ring-of-truth that when you read it you go "you know, that's exactly right". I found the sales advice very compelling.

A great launching point... Dec 07, 2004 Once I had begun reading this book, I couldn't stop until I got to the end! It's an excellent anecdotal read- light enough as not to intimidate yet informative enough to be educational. A fantastic starter book for anyone newly involved within the world of sales, it provides lessons in what to do and what not to do.

Down to earth sales principles for a high flyer Dec 06, 2004 As a pilot for a new airline, we are constantly trying to 'sell' our new corporate identity. We are brand ambassadors and, as such, are involved with selling our product to our passengers on a daily basis. The simple, easy to understand sales principles put forth by the author of this excellent guide to sales are extremely helpful- I find myself referring to them on a daily basis. A must read for anyone in the sales field! Read it now.

Finally--a sales book that's a joy to read... Dec 02, 2004 Jerry Dawson's "Sales 101: Principals in Action," is a marvelous book whether you're a beginner looking to break into sales, a veteran sales specialist, or if you are simply interested in sharpening your sales skill level.
Dawson has condensed more than a decade of solid sales experience into a short, informative manual--a quick read that's easy to tuck into a briefcase or purse. The short chapters are perfect reading for students or professionals on the go.
Jerry's writing is reminiscent of the encouraging, common sense writings of Zig Ziglar or Stephan Schiffman's "25 Sales Habits of Highly Successful Sales People." I'm glad this book is in my library and would encourage anyone to order it.

Quick Read - a lot of good information Jun 11, 2004 I think this book would best serve people new to sales, as the principles mentioned would not be new to a seasoned verteran. However, anyone who is new to a sales career will benefit greatly from taking the author's advice. I liked the real life examples from the author's career.
