New Hampshire style out door kitchen Jun 26, 2010
By Mobagger Nice book, but all the out door kitchens were meant for the South or extremely contemporary. None of them would have been suitable for the lifestyle up here on the countryside of New Hampshire. I wish he had included more options, they were all relatively similar. I'll keep looking.

Start with the Sizzle Apr 22, 2010
By Eric W. Herman For homeowners considering the purchase of an outdoor kitchen, Scott Cohen's Outdoor Kitchen Design Workbook, is a tremendously useful and informative resource. Because outdoor kitchens often come with gourmet price tags and a seemingly endless menu of options and design possibilities, potential buyers would be wise to carefully read this beautifully illustrated guide to be certain they're making the most of their investment in an outdoor lifestyle.
From the start, it's clear Cohen is his element, an experienced landscape artist, he's billed on the cover as "HGTV's Sizzling Outdoor Kitchen Designer." Cohen lives up to the hype, doing a terrific job of breaking down key issues, such as kitchen location and layout, counter design, appliances, design style and a host of other elements key to the long-term enjoyment of an outdoor kitchen.
For those seeking the panache and luxury of outdoor dining and entertaining, Cohen offers an invaluable first course.

All you need to know about outdoor kitchens Oct 21, 2010

This book has the kind of details one can only provide if they have designed and built many outdoor kitchens, as Scott Cohen has: Locating the outdoor kitchen on your property; what appliances to include (and not include); configuration and sizing of the kitchen; standard heights; etc. This book is a small investment to make to get all the questions you need to ask yourself before you build, and importantly, check against what your contractor tells you.
