Seas of Enchantment

Robert Fitzwalter is expected in Donegal to fight in one of the many intermittent wars that beset medieval Ireland. Instead he finds himself lost — first in a fog at sea, then in a strange enchantment in the heart of which is a beautiful princess trapped by an evil spell, and a gem with magical powers. As he struggles to find his way home, Robert finds himself torn between his love for the princess, a nagging greed, and a lust for power centered on the possession of the magical stone. Seas of Enchantment explores the relationship between the world that might have been and the world of reality, as well as the tangled loyalties and prejudices that tie us to the latter and doom the former.
