Pointedly accurate and hilarous look at American family life. Mar 16, 2010

What happens when a high energy wife and mother wants more from her career, and kids; and her husband and father wants less from his. Helicopter mom drove her teenage daughter away, and babies her 16 year old son. Dad wants to spend more time at the ball game and less time with his family and job. Then one day something happens that changes everybody's life. For the better. Well-developed and painfully believable characters come to life. What's painful is the between-the-eyes dialog of this supposedly perfect yuppie suburban family. It's a fun read. Great airplane book.
