Secret Seer: The Pharaoh's Justice Trilogy

Intrigue dominates the court of Ramesses III. Amun-Re, the God of the Royal Family, blesses them with a male seer in every generation. The Royal Family believes this gift of the God confirms the right of the Crown Prince to inherit the throne. Prince Nebmaatre has kept secret his son's seer abilities. When Prince Nebmaatre reveals the secret to Ramessu, High Priest of Osiris, both the High Priest and Prince Khay are murdered. The sacrilege of killing the gift of Amun-Re results in accusations against the Crown Prince. What was Prince Khay about to reveal about the Crown Prince that made such sacrilege necessary? The Crown Prince's stepbrothers Meryatum, High Priest of Re, and Prince Sethhirkopshef come to the Crown Prince's aid. Then Meryatum finds the impossible, a prisoner in the cells of Iunet suffering from a vision storm, proving he is a seer. The fact that the prisoner is royal leaves Meryatum facing an appalling choice. Which member of his family does he betray?

5Fantastic book  May 27, 2010

Fantastic story line. Sue Kelly really brings the characters to life. It's not just for Egyptologists, every incident and aspect is so clearly described. The book captured my imagination immediately and I couldn't put it down until I had finished it. Can't wait for the next one, when can we expect it?
