This is a great book for Tattoo Artists. One reviewer said it was copied form the other books, this is not true! This book has brand new information that none of this authors other books has. In fact, I have NEVER found the info in this book ANYWHERE, in any book on tattooing!
I also want to build my own machines and the chapter on frame geometry is really helpful. Frame geometry always has air-of-mystery surrounding it, and no one was ever able to explain it to me. Now I understand it, thanks to this book!
I highly reccomend all of Eric Alayon's books!

apart from numerous spelling mistakes and quite frivolous way of presenting information which kind of looks like your 16-year-old classmate might have written it, this book actually does have a little bit of useful information on most aspects of tattooing, including machines, needles, techniques, and pigments.not too much though, so don't get too excited. i was looking for books that could help me in any way and give any information on tattooing as i was only starting at the time, so i bought this one and another one by Eric Alayon with a similar title and it was quite a disappointment that both books have pretty much the same information which is even written the same way, like someone copied and pasted it on there.
the font is suspiciously too big, as if the author was trying to make the book look bigger and more presentable.
overall not bad but nothing spectacular.

Really good info here. old School tricks like boiling down black. Also the ONLY tattoo book available that explains frame geometry, this alone is worth the [...] bucks for the book!

Seems like the same info as his other book... lacking in what I would have hoped - but it was worth the 30 bucks.. check out a forum online "Teach Me To Tattoo" - its a forum for apprentices trying to ask questions and get help from real pros. Its free too.
