Good book on Empowerment and Leadership Skills Building Oct 25, 2008 In her book, Dr. Rosie Kuhn gives practical advice on how to stretch ourselves to become leaders and agents of change in our communities. She takes us through a journey of self-discovery and self-reflection of who we are and what we want our role to be.
This book is full of examples, stories and practical tips on how to turn breakdowns into breakthroughs in our life and make possible what seems impossible. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.
Should be kept with your reference books as it is well-worth rereading/consulting throughout one's journey Sep 29, 2008 Self-Empowerment 101 is not a book to be read once and tossed. Put it on your bookcase and you will find your way back to it more than once.
Book is exceptionally user-friendly but don't be fooled, it is not elementary. Well-written in a style that makes the difficult task of understanding how "my way of being" contributes to how well my life is or isn't unfolding... much easier. The steady flow of well-timed questions allows the reader to gain traction and learn tools necessary to living a life of choice while negotiating occasional choppy water.
Recommend the book to my clients.

Rock'n the Boat Aug 26, 2008 You can't help, but see yourself in the lucid examples and tender client sketches Dr. Kuhn shares with us throughout this compassionate and magical journey. Read it slow, take your time and answer the questions that have been forged and tempered in her heart's hearth through years of dedication to her clients and her personal journey to empowerment.
I experienced many things while reading this book: joy, grief, anger, confusion, delight and clarity to name a few. I was able to see my life and actions in a different light even though I am very familiar with the concepts with which Dr Kuhn works. This book shines a light literally into the delicious darkness and seldom visited recesses of our minds with laser like precision and the steady hand of a surgeon to reveal deftly, thoughts and ways of being that serve us no longer. This she does with a fierce compassion and the soul intention of reconnecting us with our essential self and our own power to choose.
If you are not ready and willing to change, don't read this book. If you read this book, you will have either to shift or buy a good eye mask, because you will not be able to turn off the light that Dr. Kuhn turns on. An amazing and transformative journey awaits you.
Self-Empowement 101 Review Aug 22, 2008 This book shows the reader how to dive deep into a place of inquiry about oneself. Dr. Rosie Kuhn demonstrates how much can be found out about how one is being in the world from this place. This level of understanding and awareness leads one down the path to self-empowerment. Dr. Kuhn has become a vehicle for helping others move towards self-love, creating right-relationship with oneself and that which one says they want.
