A performance-enhancing tool for every sales person Jun 15, 2011
By John Gempel The premise of this book is both breathtakingly simple and breathtakingly logical -- to sell something to humans, you have to understand how the human mind works and what leads it to buy. In clear, simple, understandable language--told by a true voice of experience--the book leads you through process of understanding, empathizing with, and influencing potential buyers. For anyone involved in sales (or any other form of persuasion), this book is likely to enhance performance and create insight that makes the arduous task of selling much, much easier.

Finally! A book with content that really works! THE BEST! Jun 20, 2011
By Bulldog Man Finally! This is a book on sales that cuts through all the fluff and gives real and practical steps to understanding the sales process and more importantly, understanding the person across from you. If you will follow the advice and steps outlined in this comprehensive approach to sales, you won't have to worry about your next commission check, since it will be larger than the last one. This is the BEST book I have encountered on sales. You owe to yourself to purchase, read, and put these principles in place in your sales life. It's the best investment you can make in yourself and will result in exponentially increasing your effectiveness.

Selling At The Next Level Will Change Your Concept of Selling! Jun 17, 2011
By Carmen Wright
"Laurette Poet, Inspirational Writer"
In this brilliant book, the Author takes the reader cognitively by the hand, and restructures the whole concept of Sales. Sales has always (IMO) been a rather intimidating career simply because for most it is a feast or famine. In these pages O.L. Houston takes the fear base out of selling, and teaches principals that make both approaching a customer and selling literally anything, to an easier more confident based methodology. Using Psychology and well thought out analogies, Houston can take someone with no experience and within a short duration of using his technigues, selling will become more of a second nature. It is not all about who looks the sharpest, or has the most svelt suit and can talk up a fancy storm to a potential client! Quite the contrary, this type of salesmanship may work short term, but just watch the return rates. Using the techniques in this book not only will produce significant increase in your sales, but also will have you looking forward to approaching your next customer instead of having to work up your nerve or apologetically attempt to make a sale. Well written, high marks for this unique approach to changing the whole industry of Sales. Forget gimmicks, step up and learn the path that will earn you a new level for your career!

It's Different! Jun 16, 2011
By Laurie Magers SELLING AT THE NEXT LEVEL is ONLY for salespeople (and EVERYONE is a salesperson!) who are interested in stretching what they know and enhancing their skills. O. L. Houston meticulously delivers the concept he developed over years of trial and error, highs and lows, which ultimately proved more successful for him than he had even hoped. All successful people recognize the requirement that they invest in themselves to improve in any discipline. Here is the tool that will take you to the next level!
The principles really do work! Jun 29, 2011
By H.L. Guildenstern
"mattaken"
This book was given to me by a friend, who knew that I needed help with boosting my business. I worked in sales for years before becoming self employed, and I am very good with people, so I was unsure if this book would actually teach me anything new. Let me say now, this guy knows what he's talking about. I learned things about building relationships with people that I WISH I'd known back when I worked in sales. The author's writing style is very detailed and there is a LOT of information to absorb (I read some pages twice), but he knows what he's doing and he really educated me about the human mind and interaction with others. I have used some of the principles I learned in this book not just in in business, but also in relationships (a squabble I had with a neighbor) and have found them to be effective that way as well. It really works. Even if you don't work in sales, I think this is worth reading because you're bound to find many situations in which you can apply these principles. In short: You'll be able to size up any person in any situation with confidence. A must read.
