Sex & Intimacy Equals Seriousness & Laughter Jul 20, 2008

"Deborah"
Oh, Tuchy, you once again have written a book that brings out many of my emotions.
Sex and intimacy have always been a huge part of my life but not always the greatest part. When in a relationship the sex is either way too important or not important at all. There has to be a median here. This book "Sex and Intimacy: The Gifts of Life" has helped me find that median.
The numerous quotes from a huge variety of celebrities are hilarious in their own way but also made me think. And, although I found myself laughing, I also found mysel sobbing as well. I remembered times when sex was all that mattered and I concentrated on my relationship I know have.
As always, Tuchy has included space for me to write my thoughts, my own personal journal of reactions to what I read.
This is a great book and I suggest it for everyone!
gift from tuchy for your sexual gifts Mar 28, 2011
By papi Recently I have been on a kick of quote and short story books and Tuchy was the beginning of this kick. I always enjoy his books due to the diversity of the quotes making me laugh or just think. As sex and intimacy is huge in everyones life I think this book is a great read, especially for anyone who has never before read Tuchy. The waxing and waning of the sexual appetite and desire can either be laughed at or frowned upon, this book taught me to laugh at the changes. A signature of Tuchy's book is to allow the reader space to write their thoughts, and of all the books, I beleive this is the best and most useful book for this space.
Another hit from Tuchy.
gift is always accepted Feb 15, 2011
By EthanMom we all get excited when we get a gift from someone. it is true for me too. this book is full of gifts in the intimate part of our lives. it is not a shame to read anything as long as you are a older person to accept it. author tuchy showed me that how to take the sexual and intimate life as gift of life rather than a normal doing thing. i discussed this with my husband and he felt the same. as long as you do not have the right understanding about this we can never learn anything from life.
Re: Sex and Intimacy: Its called Life Feb 05, 2011
By Emmylou This is the second Carl Tuchy Palmieri books that I have read. He is a very humorous and witty writer. Similar to his other books, Sex and Intimacy: The Gifts of Life, compiles a bunch of quotes from famous people that are meant to be read, contemplated, and discussed with others. The author has left space available for one to review the book on their own without following the specific discussion question. It allows you to keep a journal entry about your feelings about that given chapter. If you're looking for a lively debate or philosophical conversation over quotes this is your book. I found myself laughing hysterically at times even though what was being said can sometimes be the truth.
Palmieri does it again Feb 03, 2011
By D. Hennis This is one of many Tuchy Palmieri books I have read. Similar to his other books, Sex and Intimacy: The Gifts of Life, compiles a bunch of quotes that are meant to be read, contemplated, and discussed. I do wish he had different questions at the end of each section to stimulate a more varied approach to examining the quotes at hand, however, there is space available for one to review the book on their own without following the specific discussion question. If you're looking for a lively debate or philosophical conversation over quotes this is your book.
