Shelly's Sunburn

Caught in a fisherman’s net, a little soft-shell crab named Shelly escapes to the beach just in the nick of time. There she finds herself stranded, far from her family and friends. Fortunately, she’s arrived on shore the same day as the Annual Shellfish Festival, which her family is sure to attend. But when Shelly falls asleep in the bright sun, her soft pink shell is sunburned to a fierce red. Awakening, she rushes to the festival in search of her parents—but no one recognizes her! It will take a twist of luck to make plucky Shelly “the happiest little crab in the world.” Shelly’s Sunburn is a heartwarming story of how scary it can be to wander away from home, and how comforting it is to return again.
