A "must read" Dec 08, 2009
By Izel Levi Coskun I would like to thank Dr. Reisman for this wonderful study. His book made me change my views regarding a lot of concepts. With the historic facts put forward and detailed explanations made, this book gave me a clear view of Turkey's role during the Shoah. Although, the book is not a novel, all the chapters with different contents are exceptionally exciting to read.
Looking forward to reading his next book...
A read not to be over looked by history readers with a strong interest in World War II Jan 11, 2011
By Midwest Book Review In the face of Nazi Germany's atrocities, not everyone silently let it happen. "Shoah: Turkey, the US, and the UK" looks into the history of the nation of Turkey's involvement in saving some Jews from the Holocaust. Drawing from long forgotten historical documents and oral histories, Arnold Reisman brings light to Turkey's role in this history, commonly discredited or forgotten in text books. A fascinating and intriguing read, "Shoah" is a read not to be over looked by history readers with a strong interest in World War II.
