A lot to think about Apr 25, 2008 This book gives the shopper a lot to think about. Even if you don't adapt all of the author's suggestions, incorporating even a few will make you healthier. She provides steps, from easiest to adopt on up to total lifestyle change.

Healthy Living Apr 09, 2008 The author of this book epitomizes healthy living! While I may not be as rigid as this author, the book was very informative, and I am taking small steps to follow some of the guidelines.

Especially recommended for novice housewives (and house-husbands) Apr 04, 2008 In our current climate of rising costs and an economic recession, making a dollar stretch as far as possible in support of a healthy lifestyle takes more than just wishful thinking. It takes a consumer resource like Kathy Loidolt's "Shopper's Guide To Healthy Living". This is a 105-page compendium of information, advice, tips, techniques, resources, and lists for what to get and how to get it when it comes to shopping wisely and successfully on a budget for everything from skin care products, to bug spray, to groceries, to perfumes and more! Of special note are the 'tear out' shopping lists that are provided ready-made for the reader and not only note what to get -- but what to avoid as well! The section devoted to 'Recipes for Healthy Living' range from Whole Grain Pancakes and Homemade Pancake Syrup, to Healthy Oatmeal Cookies and Whole Grain Spelt Bread. The "Shopper's Guide To Healthy Living" is especially recommended for novice housewives (and house-husbands), as well as anyone else wanting to use their financial resources to the best effect in support of a healthy home and a wholesome lifestyle for themselves and their loved ones.

Wonderful Info Mar 28, 2008 This was very well stated and to the point (we need more of that). It is in line with everything that I have read on the subject over the last few years. The one thing I was suprised that the author did not have in the book was a recommendation to avoid personal products that contain any form of petroleum (maybe missed it). Based on what I've read, this is actually a carcinogen. Don't let that stop you from getting the book though. Everything else was on the money!

Good idea but why preach? Feb 24, 2008 The author helps plan shopping trips and what to buy on tear out list. Only thing I hate: those silly and annoying Bible verses printed on them. They make me want to barf. Come to think of it, I will loose more weight that way!
