"So Many Shoes, So Little Money" by Lisa Serwin Jun 29, 2009
By Book Lover Personally, I'm a little tired of being shouted at by Suze Orman, so I found this entertaining and accessible book--filled with specific information on how to organize and maintain your finances--to be a very welcome relief. Until high schools start teaching students how to manage their money, this book should be required reading.

Who knew that personal finance could be stylish? Lisa Serwin has written a book that is entertaining, witty and poignant. I bought copies for every young woman in my life to help prepare and guide them in the journey towards financial freedom. This is a practical, how-to book serving up delightful morsels of charm and advice that resonate with women of all ages - whether you are new to understanding personal finance or need a booster shot to re-mind you about the impact of your monetary choices in life - this book is straightforward, fun and timeless. It's important for any woman looking to build (or rebuild) a solid financial foundation in her life and thus, have the freedom to make broader and deeper personal choices on which to live her life to the max! Highly recommended!
Fun to read, easy to understand, so glad I read this book! Jul 30, 2009
By Zoey Elliot The transition years from college to the real world can be nerve wracking. How do I establish credit? How do I pay off my school loans, while still being able to afford an apt, work clothes, and the occasional happy hour? What's the right amount to save, and the best way to do it? Reading this book feels like sitting down with someone who's been there, lived to tell about it, and is now letting you in on all her secrets. Not only does Lisa answer common questions, and lay things out clearly, she does it in a way that in no way feels like a "financial lecture." I recommend this to any girl who feels a little lost when it comes to money decisions. I'll definitely tell all my girlfriends to read it.

This book is so witty and easy to read that you forget it is a finance book. I just ordered one for my 20 year old niece who loves to shop but is not that fiscally minded. This is a perfect gift for any teenage or twenty something girl!
