Great guide for the beginner! Jul 09, 2007
By K. Trahan Well written...and the fundamentals of the mixing board are easily grasped! Diagrams of the signal flow help to see the "Big Picture" incredibly well!
EASY READ...but, a LOT of info!!

I'll never look at a soundboard the same way again! Jun 07, 2007
By Senora Gose I've always been intimidated by all the knobs and giz-watchies in a sound booth at a church or auditorium, and now, after an easy, quick read (and often humorous!) I can look at the buttons without fear. I really appreciate all the graphics in the book - the technical jargon might have scared me, but this author knows how to break it down to a true novice level.
A must for any church or organization that even has a single microphone in its possession.
So You Want To Be A Soundman Feb 19, 2009
By Mr. James L. Powell Written simply so that this technical subject can be understood by a beginner. Techniques will be applied to our unique sound reinforcement setting.

Not a lot of bang for the buck Aug 25, 2008

Approximately 22 pages of text. Small pages, big text. Author spends half his time schmoozing with the reader. Don't waste your money.
