A great social media primer Apr 05, 2010
By Jamie Flinchbaugh I'm not a social media expert, nor do I plan to be. But I do want to engage, and this book provides great breadth of advice. It is written keeping in mind that you may not know the first thing about blogging or twitter. It's well laid out with plenty of lists, bullets, and sub-headings which makes digesting the book easy if you do know your stuff. It's quite unbiased in where you need to be - it gives equal treatment to everything from twitter and facebook to Ning and blogging. It allows you to create your own strategy while helping you understand the pros and cons, and how-to's to any decision.
This book is essentially a how-to book from those that have used social media to successfully build businesses. I'd be happy to recommend it to anyone.

An Absolute Must Read! Mar 26, 2010

If you are thinking at all about starting a business or if you are wondering how to gear your existing business towards the internet and harness the power of Social Media, then you absolutely NEED to buy this book! It will give you all the dos and donts of using social media to leverage you and your business and how to get your message across the right way, not the obnoxious way. I found out about this book by following Steve Jagger on Twitter @sjagger, read the reviews and had to pick it up ASAP, best decision I made so far this year. It was inspiring to say the least and not at all easy to put down. Congratulations to Steve and Shane on an amazing book!

Sociable! is Excellent! Sep 17, 2010
By J. Ross Think you know Social Media? Think again!
Stephen Jagger and Shane Gibson grab the proverbial bull by the horns with this exciting and engaging read. The pair know what their talking about better yet, they share the ins and outs of social media with you. It doesn't matter if you're Generation Y or a Baby Boomer, anyone can learn to engage, share and participate in today's social media.
Taking it one step further, the pair illustrate that the old days of marketing and networking, while the still have a place, are now antiquated and becoming relics. By harnessing your true potential and engaging, you can become a "Thought Leader" and a go-to person in your field.
Smart, funny, concise and most of all informative, Sociable! challenges you to take your skills to the next level! Excellent, excellent book!
