I couldn't put it down!! Dec 03, 2008
By Stephen Proulx
"Stevie P"
As a long time recreational league coach I could certainly relate to many of the stories in this book. I often felt like the author had attended some of MY games as he described the crazy events that happen when you combine sports with parents. This book can make you laugh, cry and shout with anger all in a very short time! A real good read but more importantly a book that hopefully will make people reflect on their attitude when they attend kid's sports.

Right on the Money! Should be required reading for parents!!! Feb 14, 2009
By Diane P. Scott I loved the book and was struck most especially by your love of children that really oozes from every page. Your emphasis on how society seems to be rapidly proliferating with run-away train wrecks of parents who ruin the organized sport experience for their children and turn it from being a gentle introduction into some of life's important lessons, to being degrading, ego crushing and other delightfully painful things...is soooo right on the money.

A Must Read for every parent !! Jan 15, 2009
By J. Schultheis A must-read book for everyone!
Even if you have only attended one kid's sporting event in your life, you will find it very easy to recognize these 'crazy' parents that the author talks about. It's very coach-friendly too, so any child sports team or league should consider this mandatory reading for all of their parents.

an absolute "MUST BUY" !! Dec 02, 2008
By Michael Thomas
"a caring parent!"
Absolutely hysterical and so, so true-to-life! If you have ever attended any child's sporting event then you absolutely have to recognize the "out of control" parents in this book! I found myself laughing out loud; getting angry; yelling at the book; and laughing out loud some more! I just couldn't put it down. I've invested in a few copies and delivered them as gifts to the coaching staff. They have in turn strongly recommended it to all the parents and now it's now spreading like wild fire through the entire league. Mr Gomes, your book has certainly made a difference on my kid's team. Thanks for making those 'misfit parents' much more aware of their crazy behavior! Nice job - and when can we expect the sequel?
