Staying Sane in a Crazy World by Eberhard Kronhausen and Phyllis Kronhausen - A Wonderful Book Apr 29, 2009
By Nancy J. Shear I love this book! The title is, in a way, misleading. What the book really deals with is opening one's eyes to all that holds us back - from being happy, successful and connected. The ramifications extend from the individual to the family to the globe.
For me, after reading a few chapters, a light of awareness suddenly switched on, and I realized that I had been making decisions from the conditioning of my family and society, and that I could now have the freedom to act from my own soul and intelligence to better realize my potential in every area of living. One's eyes are opened to new possibilities and new ways to react. I recommend this book to anyone who does not want to be psychologically handicapped.

The Kronhausen's book STAYING SANE IN A CRAZY WORLD explores our cultural, political, educational, and philosophical conditioning to retain all the misinformation handed down through parenting, schooling, and socialization--all of which blinds us to the fact that these inherited traditions of self-interest are not only making us miserable, but wrecking our lives and the lives of everyone around us. Instead, through the use of such intelligent teachings as those of the Buddha, Jesus, and J. Krishnamurti, the authors, both psychotherapists, show us a wiser, happier, and more compassionate way to live.
