Stewardship - 3 Profiles of Faithfulness

Raymond L. Johnson’s Stewardship: Three Profiles of Faithfulness is one of those rare books that pulls readers into its pages and reminds us time and again that God is here for all of us and wants us to be faithful in our daily walk. With an in-depth study of the King’s Ten Servants (Luke 19: 12-27), readers?whether Stewardship Ministry leaders or Christians seeking guidance, direction, and emotional support?will find a voice that is both friendly and loving, conversational and sermon-like, straightforward and poetic. Johnson manages to transcend the norm as he challenges all of us to reexamine our thoughts about faithfulness. Are we faithful with our time, our talent, and the treasures God has given us? Using the Faithfulness Scale as a gauge, readers can determine for themselves their own personal degree of faithfulness. Brother Johnson has crafted each word to remind us that we are the stewards of our lives and must rise to the challenge.

5A return to what really matters.  Jan 05, 2010

The numerous pressures upon the Church collectively and believers individually - the watered down message of the seeker-sensitive movement, the pseudo-spiritual voices that would lead us back to ancient traditions and mysticism, the alluring prosperity gospel - leave us bewildered in this postmodern day. Brother Johnson leads us back to the basics of our most precious faith. "Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful." (I Cor. 4:2, NKJV). It is this basis on which we each will be judged. Thank you, brother, for your timely reminder.
