5Remarkable story of a man with remarkable spirit  Apr 14, 2009
By Gail S. Philbin
I thoroughly "enjoyed" reading this book, if one can enjoy reading about someone else's tortured childhood. What makes this book a winner is Eddie's spirit. I found it inspirational to read how he essentially wouldn't take "no" for an answer from Life. He stood his ground and took what it could dish out and, instead of caving in and letting himself be shaped by the negative forces around him, he defied the odds and remade himself into a human being. A fine one, at that. And he's a good writer, to boot.

5An amazing story  Aug 01, 2007
By M. Dittrich "onenewbird"
I came away from this book with a better understanding of a way of life that is very different from my own. I highly recommend reading it. The stories of Eddie's violent childhood are sometimes difficult to read but he overcame his past to become the amazing man he is today. This is a story of hope and is told in a way that is gripping and riveting.

4Riveting  Jul 23, 2007
By Stuart Rubinstein "folkie"
I have the pleasure of working with Eddie & found his story to be one of hope. After all the negativity in his life, he has come out the other side as a good man. People with kids should read this book & know that there is always hope. It also works as a page turner. At times you forget that this is nonfiction. Kudos to Eddie. It wasn't easy to write, but the journey was worth it.

5Feelings  Jul 22, 2007
By Jean H. Pritchett
This book is written with personal feelings. It is both sad and
down to earth along with a few funny statements. It makes one
remember some of their personal past circumstances.

5I just finished the book-  Jul 19, 2007
By Kristin Cooper
Stolen: Stories From A Violent Childhood is a very touching and inspiring story, there are so many feelings of pain, sadness, anger and even joy. It's so good to know he was able to take all that he went through and use it in such a positive way, so many people and are not strong enough to even try.
