Stop Hiring Failures Oct 03, 2006
By Daniel Thomas McAneny Don't know of anything like it. A fast read. In just an hour, you learn a dozen easy-to-use techniques that prevent you from making the most expensive mistake in business -- hiring the wrong person. In the opening pages you learn all the mistakes you've been making. Then step-by-step the author gives you detailed directions on what to do so you'll be sure to hire the right person. Essential for key executive hires, but works at any level. If you knew it would be this easy, everyone would do it, but almost nobody does. Makes you realize the impact it could have on your business if all your key hires were great ones. The author clearly speaks from experience and has directed hundreds of successful key hires. By following the practical questions and step-by-step outline at the back of the book, you can put it into practice immediately.

Sixty Minute Turn Around! Feb 06, 2007
By W. Myers Barnes Wow! What an outstanding book! As the best selling author of numerous books and a nationally known consultant paid to hire top performers, I'm amazed at the incredible value packed into this short book. Springer wastes no time in providing a clear, concise explanation of a simple but effective selection process.
He hammers you on the need to analyze your culture and values when hiring at all levels, a vital factor my experience indicates most companies repeatedly fail to consider. He shares questions guaranteed to generate the honest answers required to separate top talent for mediocre performers, questions that will blow you away in their effectiveness.
I constantly seek out books that explain exactly how to increase business success. I'm searching for those gems of wisdom that help separate good companies from the truly great. I've read many hundreds of these books but never uncovered such valuable insights in such a small package. I personally plan to buy and distribute this book to all of my current and potential clients. In addition, I plan to recommend this book to every participant in every one of my national training seminars. It's that good!

Extremely helpful Oct 11, 2006
By HHT Hiring mistakes can be costly and painful to both the organization and the individual. This book helps you avoid the pitfalls by telling you how to get it right the first time. I especially liked the parts on making a "good match" by ensuring that the candidate will fit with the organization's culture and environment. The book combines that kind of keen insight with practical, step-by-step How To's. A must-read for anyone responsible for hiring decisions at any organizational level!

Short and Sweet Oct 02, 2006
By Steve It takes top people to create a top company. Most managers, including me, rarely interview so ours skills are poor. Others interview more but just repeat their hiring errors.
In one hour I learned more about employee hiring than I thought possible. This tightly worded book contains a wealth of practical information that will dramatically improve your ability to hire employees. Buy this one!

This is an informative and very well-written book by an author who is extremely knowledgeable and, quite obviously, an expert in his field. It's not only a valuable guide for the human resources professional, but would be extremely beneficial (and should be a must-read) for anyone within an organization who needs to be part of the interview process.
