What a great help!!! Aug 20, 2009
By Tracy Ruberg I've just finished the book and found it a great reminder of many things I knew I should do, plus a good source of things that hadn't hit my radar yet. An awesome feature is the solid examples that can help me fine tune my messaging and get clear on what I want to do. The best part, it actually made me smile!

An absolute "must read" for job seekers at all levels! Aug 25, 2009
By M. LYNN Honestly, I can't remember a professional/personal development book that was a better use of my time than Julie Bauke's Stop Peeing On Your Shoes. Within the first few pages, it is obvious that Bauke's insights and advice come from an extensive and rich experience. Her expertise is authentic; no rhetoric or fluff here. Her message is succinct and so very, very relevant. Most important to me, her suggestions are specific and genuinely worthwhile. Bauke's irreverence and humor (great stories from her years in outplacement) make the book a quick and fun read. Job seekers at all levels will benefit from Bauke's insights.

Valuable Advice For Job Seekers Aug 21, 2009
By J. Huber I've actually loaned my copy of this book to a couple of my friends who are job shopping. Stop Peeing on Your Shoes is a simple, practical guide to avoiding the mistakes that most people make when they're looking for a new job. The author (Julie Bauke) is a Career Consultant and she uses a lot of her clients' experiences to illustrate her points. The book has a humorous undertone and is sprinkled with encouragement... which is just the sort of thing an anxious job seeker needs to hear.
For me, the big take- away from this book was that you shouldn't just be looking for a job... you should be looking for the right job for you. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who was engaged in a job search or considering a job change.

Not Just for the Job Seeker Aug 18, 2009
By C. L. Seifert Julie Bauke shares how to achieve your dreams - both from a career perspective and personal perspective. I found the book to provide me with very direct, with easy to share ideas for the many people I enjoy helping with their career changes. Having interviewed so many people that truly didn't understand the intricacies of getting their points across as to why they are right person for the job and how they can help the company achieve its goals - I would HIGHLY recommend anyone evaluating their career or personal goals to take a few hours and read this book...
