Enjoyed the books. Knowing the author from High School made it even more exciting. Go Sandy.

4Sandy Mason leads off with a hit  Oct 24, 2008
By Rick M.
I liked this book from the "get-go". Despite the fact that it's a murder
mystery, Mason never falls into the trap of being gruesome or overly
detailed regarding the murder. Instead, he focuses on the characters,
bringing a lightheartedness & touch of humor to his writing. I've read
similar books to this, but unlike the others, the characters in Storm Damage were more "real", and quite easy to relate to. I breezed though the book which never got bogged down or long winded.
Take note baseball fans; Mason parallels his story with the real-life
fateful October when the NY Yankees fell to the post-season destiny of
the Red Sox. Nice start Sandy Mason, keep up the good work.

5Fast moving homespun mystery tale  Oct 14, 2008

This mystery is a fast paced mystery with homespun humor. Recommend it for a vacation read or an escape during a cold winter weekend at home. Looking forward to the next adventure in Johnny's journey through life.

I picked up Storm Damage after reading that the author is originally from my hometown. The book is a great read, interesting and funny. A great testimonial to life long friends. I can't wait for the next in the Johny Donohue series to come out.
