This was an excellent book on Strategic Acquisitions and Divestments. It took a very complex topic and broke it down into manageable pieces. It is great for those about to make their first big deal or simply needing to brush up on the latest challenges and pitfalls.

Strategic Acquisition, Divestment, and LBO is dynamic in its appeal and value. This stems from its ability to serve as a very informative introduction the world acquisitions, divestments and LBO's, yet can also be a valuable source for mid to senior management. The author manages to clearly define the playing field of such transactions and add in his own knowledge of situations. From this knowledge, the reader receives valuable information / point of views that other books cannot deliver. The world of mergers, acquisitions and divestments is all around us and will affect each of us in some form or another, this book will help readers identify, relate and understand these processes. Highly recommended for people of different business backgrounds at all levels within an organization.

This well written reference book should be kept near at all times if your field is in the area of Acquisitions and Divestments. Dr. Dagher breaks down all the critical parts of each transaction. As for referencing, this book also provides examples of the necessary forms needed during the transactions. Before any critical business decision is made to either grow a business through acquisitions or divest part or all of a business, Dr. Dagher's book should be thoroughly read.
