a must read Jul 09, 2009
By Laura R. Brinckerhoff 1 in 3 people are victims of a sexual crime. This book is a must read for anyone who wants to understand how a sex crime impacts not only the victim, but those around the victim as well. It is written from 3 perspectives, which gives the reader 4 different ways to read the book. The first 100 pages are difficult to read because of the angst that young Sam goes through. Kudos to the Fennell family for wanting to help others.

An Inspiring and Empowering Read Oct 22, 2009
By L. Cole Werner

This is one of the most painful books I have ever read, yet one of the most uplifting and empowering. As the book unfolds, the author shows the healing process for victims of abuse, and family and friends; skillfully giving the reader the perspective of a mother who's child is a victim of abuse, that child and a therapist. I would strongly recommend this book to anyone struggling with the horrors of abuse. A clear, straightforward, and honest story of sexual abuse.
