How Fragile is the Deception Pass Bridge? Feb 15, 2010
By Tyler Black Sudden Loss by Richard F. Haines is well written and the character development is very detailed. As I was reading I could imagine the struggle of each character's recovery in full vivid color like I was watching it on a television screen. I was riveted as I read and I could not wait to read the next chapter to find out what happened. Through this story I have realized the importance of personal emergency preparedness as well as involvement in Whidbey Island and North Puget Sound as a region being dreadfully unprepared should a natural disaster happen. I highly recommend reading this book for the twists and turns in the story and informing residents of the the North Puget Sound region of the dangers of an unexpected disaster.

Good read.............. Mar 06, 2010
By Jolie Jeanne .............and also good reread causing a look to my own life's needs now and for the future. After living on Whidbey Island for a few years myself I realize how this book has changed my thinking for a necessary look at where we are at the moment. An excellent story line, too. I consumed it in a week.
I know that "Sudden Loss: Earthquake Realities" caused me to become more diligent in my responsibilities for myself and others, too; thanks to Mr.Haines efforts. Many thanks to him and to Amazon for having the book available.
