Suffer The Women: Personal stories of courage in the battle with disease, abuse, prejudice, and family upheaval

Twenty-one women have contributed to this anthology, which allows a glimpse at the variety of sufferings women experience, their feelings and emotions laid bare in a corageous effort to overcome the devastating effects disease, abuse, prejudice, and relationship upheavals have on mind and body. The women speak their own personal truths, with their own unique use of words, be it in narrative form, by way of poetry, or by allowing transcription from a tape recording. This book is by women for women, but it behooves also men to take a look at the quiet suffering that often goes on beyond their notice. Sadly, some have fought courageously against a disease, only to see their efforts and brief triumphs dashed by another assault. These shall live, however, in our memory forever.
