Crimebusting Pulp Rides Again! Jul 01, 2009
By Michael Maloney Harken back to the early days of radio and the larger than life adventures of the masked avengers of pulp fiction. A great read that peels those decades away, transporting us back to an age of heroes.

This Book Set My Fedora On Fire Jul 01, 2009
By Kurtis R. Workman This is a great story for both the avid Decoder Ring Theatre fan or for the newly initiated. The Red Panda and The Flying Sqirrel are pulp hero characters. The Crime Cabal has all the humor and daringdo that we have come to expect from Mr. Taylor. Grab this book and hang on for the ride.

Sweet, Chewy, Old-timey Superhero Goodness Jul 09, 2009
By Curious Mind My goodness, what a fun read!
Engaging characters, wry humour, life-threatening peril, true love - what more could one ask from a book?
Gregg Taylor takes full advantage of the text medium to flesh out his radio-drama characters in ways that just can't be done effectively in their original 'home' (serial, full-cast audio plays on the Decoder Ring Theatre podcast), making BOTH ways of enjoying the stories that much more rich and satisfying!
The Red Panda's unswerving nobility and the Flying Squirrel's rough-edged but keen sense of justice - and the powers and gadgets that they use to back up the courage of their convictions - are put to the test against the meeting of villainous minds that is the Crime Cabal!
Not to mention the revelation of the Secret Origin of ... well, that would be telling.
All that's needed to make things complete is more Dr. Chronopolis!
What more could one ask?: The next one, please!

Old time radio goodness Jul 01, 2009
By Bryan Kennedy This is a great book both for long time fans/listeners of the Decoder Ring podcast as well as people who haven't heard of the characters yet. Gregg Taylor has been writing these characters for a while now for audio drama and it shows in this book with each character having their own distinctive voice. There is plenty of action, mystery and intrigue and the end of each chapter will have you wanting more.
