Love & adventure during the Russian revolution Dec 21, 2002
By P. W. Marbach TAMARS'S STORY, while fiction, blends so many real life events and people that it is hard to tell what is true and what isn't. And that is what makes this book so much more interesting than a dry historical account. Through the eyes of the heroine, we see both the grandness and the horrors of this tumultuous time. With his well-drwan characters and knowledge of Russian history, Berry paints a picture that is beautiful, exciting and terrifying all at once. It grabs your interest from the beginning, and leaves you wanting more. What more can you ask. Where's the sequel??
